Thank you for considering a donation to this very worthy cause. The Snowdrop Foundation serves children battling the ravages of cancer. The foundation provides scholarships for college bound pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors while raising awareness and funding for continued research to cure childhood cancer.

Cancer took the life of our dear nephew Rusty in 2004 who battled pediatric bone cancer for many years. During that time I helped raise funds through the Jori Zemel Children's Bone Cancer Foundation. In recent years I have been fundraising through the Snowdrop Foundation. This year I will be participating in the 9^th Annual Snowdrop ULTRA 55 Hour Race & Relay in honor of Rusty. This will be the sixth time I have participated and raised funds to fight cancer with Snowdrop. I ran 100 miles as an individual runner each year during the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Annual Snowdrop ULTRA 55 Hour Race & Relay events.

After completing my 5^th 100 mile run on January 1, 2019, I could not have known that less than a year later I’d be diagnosed with colon cancer. By the mercy of God, its now 2 years later and I am a cancer survivor myself. It has been tough, but as an adult, I understood what was happening to me, I could make informed decisions about my care, I had more life experience because of my age, and had an understanding of my prognosis. But this isn’t quite the case for children who are affected by cancer, who would be much more afraid than I and can only put trust in those around them that all will be well. And I say to them: You are my inspiration! You are my hope! Your paths through this have helped me stay on course with a positive attitude. Keep strong! We can get through this together.
