Thank
you for coming to my donation page for the Snowdrop Foundation's 55HR Race.
This will be the 3rd year I have competed in this event. I haven't ever asked
for donations for the previous year's races and I am getting a late start to
this year's race. But I have a plan to make up the time.

There are a couple of ways I am
asking for donations. The first way is the easiest way. Just simply make a onetime
lump sum donation on my page. Easy enough. The second way is by donating per
mile I complete. I have seen other runners do the same thing and I like it. The
longer I can stay on my feet, the more miles I can get, the more money I can
 raise for the foundation.

 Donations are accepted until the
end of February. This gave me an idea. Trail Racing Over Texas is putting on a
72HR race the last weekend of February. If I could get people to donate per
mile based on mileage covered during the 55HR race and the 72HR race, that
means even more money for the foundation.

 Now, assuming I am healthy
enough for each race, I have goal mileage in mind. The last 2 years I have
wanted to get 150 miles at the Snowdrop race. Year one I got injured and had to
gut it out for 100 miles. Last year, I was close. I decided against going for
it around midnight on New Year's Eve. I knew it would be close and I didn't want
to end up 1 or 2 miles short. I finished at 134.6 miles. This year, no tent, no
sleep, lots of Red Bull. I fully intend to reach and surpass my goal of 150
miles at that race. If I can get the 150 in 55 hrs, I am going to go after 200
at the 72 hr race. Quick math, that's 350 miles between the 2 races. If you donated
$.25/mile, that would be $87.50. If I can get 12 people to donate that amount,
I will meet my goal amount.

If you decide to donate per
mile, contact me and let me know the amount. I make note of the amount, and
after both races are complete, I will let you know the mileage completed and
you can come back to my donation page and make your donation then.

Thanks in advance for helping me
reach my goal and for help kids with cancer.
