I always find it a privilege to be able to find myself as part of this amazing group of runners, joined together to support an amazing cause. This year in preperation for the 55 Hour Race I have two runs which I am leveraging as a platform to spread awareness for this cause and raise funds to go towards our annual cancer survivor scholarships and our donations to Texas Children's Hospital cancer research program. 

With every run I have the honor to run for two kids who hold a special place in my heart. First, I'll be running to remember Brooks who earned his angel wings in 2016 after a battle with pediatric cancer. Brooks' journey was very impactful and a he is a huge inspiration for me. Secondly, for Jayce, who has kicked butt on four rounds of chemo and is currently under a maintenance program. Through all the struglles Jayce contiunes to smile and reminds me to how special every day should be treated. These guys are my inspiration, and I look forward to the solid miles we log over the course of the next few months. 

All of the running and the miles are for the kids, and the representation of spreading hope and love through the act is impactuful in itself. But what makes it all worth while is knowing the difference we are making through our donations. Sep 7-8: 24-Hour Run Over Cancer, semi-self supported. I will start at 8am on Friday Sep 7th and run through the day and night, and wrap up my 24th hour running the TRC Run Over Cancer 5k/10k in Sugarland, TX at 7am Sep 8th. 

Oct 20-21: 24 The Hard Way, a race in Oklahoma City consisting of a single approx 1mi loop which we run for 24-hours to see who can log the most laps 

Dec 30-Jan 1: Snowdrop 55 Hour Run ....55 hour of loops on loops
