The Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is thrilled to announce the 20th Annual Pear Run, taking place on May 2, 2026, at Pearland Independence Park!
This milestone year brings something new and exciting introducing The Pear Ruck, a ruck-style 10K race joining our classic 5K and 10K events. So grab your backpacks and get ready to RUCK!
We're also bringing back the always popular Kids Fun Run, complete with engaging activities for our youngest participants. Plus, enjoy live demonstrations from the Pearland Police Department and don't miss the chance to snap a photo with our beloved mascot, Peary!
Come out, celebrate with us, and support a great cause it’s going to be our best run yet!

2026 Pear Run and Pear Ruck
Benefiting the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) and the Pearland Police Department
We’re celebrating 20 Amazing Years of the Pear Run on May 2, 2026 at Pearland Independence Park!
This year, we’re leveling up with a brand-new race: The Pear Ruck alongside our classic 5K & 10K. Grab those backpacks and get ready to RUCK! Both the 10k and 5k routes are USATF certified!
The Kids Fun Run is BACK with tons of activities, plus exciting live demos from the Pearland Police Department and photo ops with everyone’s favorite pear, Peary!
Mark your calendars and stay tuned, you won’t want to miss this!
Registration fees are based on route and when you register*, as follows:
- Early Bird Registration (September 16, 2025-January1,2026)
- Standard Registration (January 2- April 7)
- T-Shirt Deadline - April 7
- Late Registration (April 8 - April 29th - noon)
- Race Day Registration (May 2)

Packet pickup dates will be the week before the run and emails will be sent to all registrants with date, time and location details. We will also post packet pickup information on our social media and website.

This is a rain or shine event and as such in the event of severe weather, the Pear Run may be delayed or canceled. If the Pear Run is canceled due to inclement weather, it will not be rescheduled and your generous donation will still be applied to benefit the Pearland Police Department. In most cases this event will go on unless there is lightning at Independence Park or reported hazardous condition at Independence Park.
Proceeds benefit the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pearland Police Department.
