Come out and support La Porte High School's Project Graduation program by running/walking along this scenic 5k course. Project Graduation is an all-night, drug-free, alcohol-free, fun-filled, parent-sponsored party provided for our senior class the night of graduation. We want to give our seniors a great graduation party filled with lots of fun, food, friends, prizes, and entertainment in a safe school environment and help make their final memories of La Porte High School the absolute best!

PARTICIPATION

ALL are welcome to run or walk this USATF certified 5k course (TX12004ETM). We encourage families of all ages to participate. For safety reasons: Please no bikes, scooters, roller blades, strollers, headphones, or dogs. All young children must be accompanied by a registered adult on the race course and at Sylvan Beach.

NEW THIS YEAR!!!         INTRA-DISTRICT FITNESS CHALLENGE CONTEST!!!
Is YOUR school the fittest school in LPISD???  Want to find out?  The LPISD school with the most runners and walkers will be presented with a trophy and of course, BRAGGING rights for having the fittest campus in the district!  Tell everyone and be sure to list your school when registering!

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Race Day Registration (CASH OR CHECK ONLY) starts at 6:15 a.m. and ends at 7:15 a.m. - DON'T BE LATE!

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The LPHS Project Graduation 5k Run/Walk is looking for companies to be involved with this event. ALL sponsors will be acknowledged in the Race Packet. Title sponsors ($250 and greater) will be featured on the race T-shirt. Please contact Race Director, Gretchen Welch at (713)503-5720 for questions.

COURSE CERTIFICATION AND TIMING

Race course will be USATF Certified (TX12004ETM) and Chip timing for this race will be provided by Run Houston Timing. Timing Chips will be distributed the morning of the race, so show up early to get your chip!

AWARDS

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Finishers (male and female). Additionally, awards will be given to the Top 3 Finishers in the following age groups (excluding overall finishers): 10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

RESULTS

Results will be posted on Run Houston Timing’s website. Please check back after race day.

REFRESHMENTS AND AID STATION

There will be an Aid Station with sports drink and water located around the 1.5 mile point. Finish line food and drink will be available.

PACKET PICK UP

Packet pick up will take place on Friday, April 5th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the LPHS Student Center and Race Day morning starting at 6:15 a.m.

PARKING

FREE Parking will be available at Sylvan Beach Park. Overflow parking is available at La Porte High School.

Additional Information

All participants who register prior to March 17th are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt!!! Additional shirts available for late registrants as supplies last on Race Day. Event takes place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances, LPHS Project Graduation reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the event for safety concerns. No refunds will be issued.
