4th Annual Lake Houston 10K/5K, presented by: Memorial Hermann Northeast

Registration -
The cost to participate in the 10k/5k race is as follows:
August 12 - August 21: $35 for the 10k run and $30 for the 5k run/walk; race t-shirt is based on availability and not guaranteed
No refunds will be issued. Please make sure you register for the correct race you want to run in. No switching races two weeks prior to the event.
Packet Pick Up
Your packet will include your bib, timing chip, information from sponsors and local businesses, and a race t-shirt (provided you registered by August 11). Early Packet Pick Up will be 11 am - 7 pm, Friday, August 23, at King's Harbor. If necessary, participants can arrive early on race day to pick up their packet (before 6:45 am). Please make an effort to pick up your packet before Race Day.
Awards
An award ceremony will follow the run with a prize of $500 awarded to the overall top male and female runners in the 10k race and $250 awarded to the overall top male and female in the 5k race. Non-cash awards will also be presented to first, second, and third place male & female finishers in the following categories: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 over.
Event Pictures
PR Photo is proud to be a part of the 2013 Lake Houston 10k/5k. Carl Bergman with Bergman Photography will be taking professional pictures of all participants throughout the race and after party. The pictures will be organized on their website and participants will be able to review and purchase pictures. Be sure that your race bib is visible at all times on the course! This year's photos will be available within 3 days after the event sorted by BIB# at http://prphotoshots.com/CarlBergman
Timing Chips
All participants will be electronically timed using a ChronoTrack-D disposable chip placed on the back of your race bib. Participants finishing times will be available at the finish line area immediately after the race. Timing Chips will be included in your Race Packet. The Race Course will close at 9:15 am; all participants must be finished by this time.
Parking/Traffic
Event Parking is available in the parking garage at the Kings Harbor complex, on side streets next to Kings Harbor and the Humble ISD Instructional Support Center a quarter mile north of Kings Harbor on Magnolia Cove Drive. Please do not park at businesses along W. Lake Houston Parkway or in front of any residences and condos. Please plan to arrive early due to road closures beginning at 6:30 am.
Refreshments & Aid Stations
There will be Aid Stations with sports drinks and water located throughout the course and finish line food and drink will also be available.

Additional Information
5K
and 10K participants please arrive at King’s Harbor no later than 6:45
am. This will give you time to use the restroom, enjoy some coffee and
pre-race food, get pumped up by some good music and get to the starting
line on time. The start/finish line for both events is in the back of
the main entrance to the Harbor. Please be at the start line area no
later than 7 am for the pre-event ceremonies. There will be a DJ at the
start/finish line providing music and getting everyone ready! We will be
using the King’s Harbor restroom facilities. We suggest stopping by the
restrooms before heading out to the starting line. They are very large
indoor restrooms that can accommodate all participants. We will have a
small number of portable restrooms near the starting line. Post-race
food will be handed out at the finish lines. Race sponsors will also be
at the finish line handing out goodies. Please be sure to stop by the
Sponsor’s booth following the race.
All participants who register prior to August 12, are guaranteed to receive a Race Day Dri-FIT Shirt! Additional Dri-FIT Shirts will be available for late registrants as supplies last. Event takes place Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances, LHACC reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the event for safety concerns. No refunds will be issued. No switching races two weeks prior to the event.
No animals, bikes, rollerblades, or skateboards are allowed on the course.
Strollers are allowed.
For individuals that would like to walk the 10k, you must be able to finish in less than 2 hours, and 1 hour and 45 minutes for the 5k. The Race Course will close at 9:15 am.
