Dear Friends,
In December 2005, a man met a fifteen-year-old girl battling cancer. They became close friends. One day, the young girl mentioned to the man that there were walks and runs to benefit all kinds of cancers, but none for children's cancer. The man decided to change that.
To honor the brave girl, the man created Snowdrop Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting Children's Cancer Research.
On December 30, 2016 - January 1, 2017, Darrell and I will participate in the Snowdrop Foundation Ultra 55 Hour Race at Sugar Land Memorial Park, where we have trained for many years. Our goal is to complete 100 miles under 30 hours, and yes we will be running through the night with 200 other ultra runners!
Part of our commitment is extensive training to run the Ultra 55. The other part of our commitment is to raise funds, money that will go to Snowdrop Foundation to help support pediatric cancer research and provide college scholarships for pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors.
