Please support me as I raise funds
for children’s cancer programs and cancer research via the Snowdrop Foundation
- THANKS!!!!!
This December
30 through January 1, I will be running 100
miles as part of the Snowdrop Ultra 55 hr Race to raise money for the Snowdrop Foundation.
This foundation is
run by a family who were touched by struggles of kids battling cancer at so
young an age. Pediatric cancer affected
our family. I lost a dear nephew, Rusty
Anderson, 15 years ago to pediatric bone cancer when he was just 15. I will be running in his memory.
The Snowdrop Foundation raises awareness and funding for continued
research to cure childhood cancer and provides scholarships for college bound
pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors.
The snowdrop is
the first flower to bloom in the spring, even blooming when snow is still on
the ground. It is a hearty flower, nearly indestructible by nature. Childhood
cancer patients demonstrate indestructible attitudes and spirit while battling
the life threatening illness of childhood cancer.
The
snowdrop flower symbolizes hope and purity. Snowdrop Foundation celebrates the hope
that one day a cure for all childhood cancers will be found allowing the purity
of every child to remain untouched by the devastating diagnosis of cancer.
I will also be running the Houston Aramco Half Marathon on January 20 as a "Run for a Reason" fundraiser for the Snowdrop Foundation and have a fundraising page also on that site.
