Here we are again!
For those who are new here, Snowdrop raises funds for pediatric cancer research and college scholarships for cancer warriors. In 2013, I was asked to join a relay team in honor of a friend’s daughter at the 1st Snowdrop Ultra 55 Hour Race & Relay. I went in knowing no one, I left with an experience difficult to describe, new friends, and a drive to come back again and again. After that first year I have participated as an individual runner ever since. Miserable conditions, COVID, a brain aneurysm, and pregnancy couldn’t keep me away.
Runners push themselves through pain, nausea, exhaustion, rain, cold, heat, and no sleep. How and why do they do this? When you think about what a family with a child going through cancer treatment experiences, 55 hours of discomfort is something we can push ourselves through.
Please consider donating, no amount is too small, to this amazing foundation and the children and families it provides support for.
