This year in support of Snowdrop’s “Do Something” Day, I
will be running my annual 24-Hour Run Over Cancer. Typically, I would run this
in conjunction with the Snowdrop TRC Run Over Cancer 5k/10k but due to the
event being cancelled this year, my “Doing Something” will be my 24-Hour Run.
As I have for the last 4 years, I will be running in honor
of Brooks Blackmore who earned his angel wings in 2016 and has been my inspiration
for all things running. Brooks battled an inoperable pediatric astrocytoma stage
4 brain tumor starting at the age of 5. His treatment was intense and through
it all he showed unconditional love and faith. On May 21, 2016 at just 6 years
old, Brooks earned his angel wings.
To support Snowdrop Foundation, and honor Brooks, I’ve set a
goal is to raise $100 for every hour I will be running for a total of $2,400. Any
and all donations are greatly appreciated.
