Mission: Journey 2 Healing Hearts mission is to educate and bring awareness to our community about gun violence by collaborating with our community and community leaders to implement programs, activities and events that focus on the prevention of gun violence, paying close attention to youth gun violence and the real life consequences of gun violence and public education on the topic of gun responsibility and gun violence; as well as advocate for legislation and laws that will reduce access to firearms and illegal guns in our communities. J2HH supports the following actions:
· Closing gun sale loopholes and requiring universal background checks on gun sales · Banning the sale of high capacity ammunition magazines
· Banning the sale of military style assault weapons
· Safe storage of guns and mandatory gun safety courses
Outreach: Journey 2 Healing Hearts will respond to the emotional needs of families and support them through the cycle of grief that comes with losing a family member to violence and murder. We will be a resource to families of murder victims, directing them to resources, information and aid when possible and provide a network of mothers, fathers, siblings and children who can support and encourage one another. |

Journey 2 Healing Hearts reaches out to families who have lost loved ones due to gun violence. In effort to comfort them in a small way we give the family a gift of books. a journal book, gift cards for local restaurants, in memory of locket with loved ones photo and other misc items. This is a small token to show that we care and will be with them throughout their journey. J2HH holds events that Advocate and Educate the community on the real life consequences of gun violence. Many of the events are free events to the public. J2HH will also be hosting a Mothers Retreat for mothers who have lost their children due to gun violence. We are hoping that fund raised will help us to be able to fully fund this retreat as well as the other efforts we have listed. Your donation no matter how small or large will all go towards each of these efforts. J2HH is a non- profit and is staffed by volunteers. We thank you in advance for all of your support!
