The women of Delta Zeta are supportive of many national philanthropies benefiting the detection and prevention of speech and hearing loss. The ladies of the Lambda Xi chapter are particularly supportive of our local philanthropy, Isaiah's Place.

Last year, Texas A&M Delta Zeta raised over $21,000 for Isaiah's Place. This year our goal is to raise over $30,000!

DZ RUN TO THE CHICKEN Benefitting: Isaiah's House

Isaiah's Place was founded in 1996 by Diane Frederickson as a place to serve the deaf communities of Texas. It is the only facility of its kind in the state of Texas providing an Educational Retreat Facility focused on enriching the lives of the deaf community, their families and friends. As an educational center, it provides enrichment materials and activities geared to building communication skills, confidence, self-esteem, and developing relationships with an appreciation for the country/ranch lifestyle and its creator. The facility provides housing for its guests, American Sign Language early childhood retreats for deaf children and their families, educational and "interest" workshops for all ages using ASL as the primary language, a "deaf equestrian drill team" for recreational purposes, and most importantly a mobile educational unit that supplies enrichment materials to individual families with deaf members throughout Texas. If you would like more information about Isaiah's Place, please feel free to visit their website www.isaiahsplace.org.
