Fundraising For Heroes for Children
September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Ashtyn and I are participating in the 10th Annual Heroes for Children 5K Run/Walk and 1K Family Fun Run on Saturday, September 27, 2014 (at The Plaza at Galatyn Park in Richardson, Texas) to raise money for families battling childhood cancer. Not only would we love to bring everyone together to support those families in need, but also to celebrate Ashtyn's courage throughout her battle and continuing off of chemotherapy!
Every week, Heroes
for Children spends approximately $15,000- $20,000 in program services to
support families across the state of Texas who are struggling while their child
is being treated for cancer. Your support will enable families to focus
on the most important part of cancer treatment--the child. Heroes for
Children was a huge blessing for our family when Ashtyn started chemotherapy.
The love and support they offered us during such a difficult period of
our lives, motivates us to now continue with our support of Heroes for
Children. That is why we continue to form Team Ashtyn every year and not
only give back to Heroes for Children, but to support those families going
through the trials of their lives.
If you are unable to
attend the event, you can still register as a "virtual runner." Please invite your friends and family to join our team to help support and
celebrate this day with us.

WHAT: Join Heroes for Children by recognizing and
promoting September, as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month within the
community! The Heroes for Children Heart of Gold 5K & Fun Run is a
fundraiser for Heroes for Children so that no family with a child battling
cancer will fight alone.
The event kicks off
with a 1K Family Fun Run, followed by the 5K Run/Walk. There is plenty of
entertainment with prizes and awards, giveaways, bounce houses, face painting,
music and more.
