Cross Country Individual/Team Registration
Cost: $10 for FRTR members; $12 for non-members
(Note: member discount will be applied after member validation during registration)
You may register for this race as an individual or you may create a team or join an existing team. In order to compete as a team, you must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 runners (teams can be mixed gender) to be eligible for team scoring. ALL finishers will get a finisher time regardless of whether they are on a team.
When creating a team, please select the option to require team members to use a password to join the team so that only those individuals you invite will be able to join your team.

The Race: We’re taking it back to classic cross-country again. Join us for our 3rd annual retro XC race,...think stopwatches, popsicle sticks, team scoring, and plenty of old-school race-day energy. Lace up your spikes (or regular running shoes), and come enjoy a course that brings back the best parts of cross-country.
All proceeds from this year’s race will be donated by Fox River Trail Runners to support the Settler’s Hill Cross Country Course, which is maintained by the Chicago Area Track & Field Organizing Committee, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving this outstanding venue for middle school, high school, and college cross-country meets, as well as for public use as a running and walking destination.
Our Mission: Fox River Trail Runners (FRTR) was founded in 1995 and is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Corporation whose mission is to promote running as a healthy lifestyle in the Fox Valley Region while also benefiting our community.

Course Location: Settler's Hill Cross Country Course. The Course is located just west of Kirk Road in Geneva, directly behind the Fox Valley Ice Arena. For the purpose of GPS navigation, use the Ice Arena address at 1996 S. Kirk Road, Geneva, IL 60134.
No Strollers, dogs, walkers, roller-skaters, or bikes are allowed in the race. For safety reasons, the use of headphones or other electronic devices during the race is strongly discouraged.
Parking: Participants and spectators can park in the Fox Valley Ice Arena lot, as shown on the course map below. The lot is accessible from Kirk Road. There is no charge for participant and spectator parking.
Course Access: Follow the BLUE line on the course map below to get from the parking lot to the Spectator Entrance. It is about one-third of a mile from the parking lot to the Start/Finish area. There is a significant hill getting from the parking lot up to the Course which may be difficult or require extra time for some spectators.
Bathrooms: There will be porta-potties in the area behind the starting line. There will be one handicap accessible porta-potty.
Inclement Weather: In the event of a thunderstorm or other severe weather, spectators should exit the Course via the blue line on the map and return to their vehicles. Spectators may also seek shelter in the lobby of the Fox Valley Ice Arena, which is shown on the course map below.
