Are the walk, 5K, and kids' run separate events?
Yes, this event includes three parts: the Frontier Fiesta 5K for the Brave, the Brave Little Soles Kids' Fun Run and the Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk Houston, www.AAMDS.org/Walk. They are all components of the Houston Walk event to benefit the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation. But, registration for each event is separate.

How do I register for Frontier Fiesta 5K for the Brave?
Register for the 5K now! Registration costs $30, $20 or $15 plus a $5 optional charge should you want to join us in the Frontier Fiesta 5K for the Brave Food Tent and participate in Frontier Fiesta. Registration for the 5K is a separate registration from the walk.

How do I register for the Brave Little Soles Kids Fun Run?
Registration will be handled on-site the morning of the event. Registration will begin at 9:30 am. Brave Little Soles is free-of-charge but donations will be accepted.

What happens after I register for the 5K?
We will be in touch with you via email or by phone with updates.

How do I join a team for the 5K?
We are so glad that you have asked. These options will be set up shortly!

How do I fundraise for the 5K?
Ditto for fundraising - opportunities to fundraise and compete against other fundraising teams will be available soon. We will let you know as soon as everything is set up.

How do I register for the WALK?
Register for the walk now! Registration costs $25 plus a $5 optional charge should you want to join us in the Frontier Fiesta 5K for the Brave Food Tent and participate in Frontier Fiesta. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt.

What happens after I register for Walk?
Your registration will be confirmed by email. Then, using your user name and password created during the registration process, log into the walk website. Take a moment to personalize your fundraising page by letting others know why you're walking and why this event is important to you. You can also upload a picture. The more personalized your page is, the more others will be inspired to walk with you or donate to your page. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to personalize your page – and it's easy to do!

Are there hotel accommodations?
We have a block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza-Houston River Oaks. The rate is $99, for the dates of arrival 3/21 and depart 3/23. When you make your reservation online, please make sure to enter HOP in the group code box. To phone in your reservations at (877) 834-3163 mention that you are with the Hope, Steps & A Cure.

You must register by Midnight, Friday, March 7, 2014, to receive the group rate.
This is a room rate only. Breakfast is not included. Self-Park is $9.00 per vehicle per day and Valet Parking is $15 per vehicle per day.
