The Inaugural Footsteps For The Fallen, Golf Tournament 

September 7, 2018 @ Battleground Golf Course in Deer Park, Texas

 


 

Footsteps For The Fallen became a fully recognized 501c3 charitable organization on September 8, 2014 and awards scholarships to the children of Texas First Responders, as we remember and honor our fallen Texas First Responders. In order to meet our mission and provide services in our organization, Footsteps For The Fallen relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of individuals and businesses like you, we wouldn't be able to award scholarships to the children of Texas First Responders. 

 


 

Lunch tickets only, Footsteps For The Fallen would like to invite you to join us for a great Hamburger Lunch with Baked Beans, Ice Tea, Dessert and all the fixings along with great fellowship even if you are not golf player.

 


 

Lunch Only: $15

Entry Fee: $125 Individual, $400 4 Person Team

For Each Team Member Registration Includes: 1 Drink Ticket, Greens Fee, Shared Cart, Range Balls, Bounce Back Card "Free Greens Fee", Goodie Bag, Hamburger Lunch, Baked Beans, Potato Chips, Ice Tea and Dessert

Shotgun Start at 8:00am with a Team Choice Format

Tournament Contest:

Longest Drive: (Mens & Womens) on the TBA Hole. Your Drive must be in the fairway to count. Put your name on the marker in the fairway and move it to your ball location if you beat the existing longest drive.

Closest To The Pin: On the TBA hole. Your Tee Shot must be on the green to count. Put your name on the marker and move it to your ball location if you beat the existing closest to the pin.

Hole In One: Hole TBA. Just get a hole in one, pretty simple.

Low Score: Get the lowest score for individual and team. Cash Prizes Awards To Top Three Teams: 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100

Longest Putt: Make the longest putt at Hole TBA.

Tiger Drive: 50/50 Pot, $10 buy in per hit, drive the ball as hard and long as you can.

Rules

Tournament Format: Team Choice Scramble

 
  1. Each Player on the team hits off the tee. The team then decides which is the best ball to play and all four players make their next shot from that spot. This process continues for each shot (including putts) until the ball is in the hole. (Balls not being used are simply picked up)

  2. The team score on each hole is the number of strokes taken to get to the ball in the hole using the “best” shots.

  3. Double Bogey is your friend, to help keep the players moving, pickup the ball after 2 stokes over the holes par.

  4. Each team must use one tee shot of each player during the round.

  5. Shots must be played from as close to the shot of the shot selected as possible and must be played from the same type of lie (e.g. not moved from rough to fairway, fringe to green).

  6. If your group is a team, one player will be allowed to hit two shots on each hole. For example, player one will hit two shots on hole one, player two on hole two, player three on hole three, player one on hole four, and so on. Keep the rotation the same.

  7. Tees: Men use the White Tees. Ladies use the Red Tees

  8. Mulligans can be purchased for $5.00 each. They can be used to “Do Over” a bad shot, but only by the individual who purchases the milligan. The entire team is not allowed to hit again.
