The CB & I TRI - The Woodlands Triathlon is set to take place Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Northshore Park. As one of the premier multi-sport events in the region, CB & I TRI, produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department offers high-caliber competition, first-rate race management and a scenic course. The 2014 race will be a sanctioned USA Triathlon (USAT) event and will feature a field of more than 1,300 participants. Last year's participants ranged from beginners to nationally
ranked triathletes. This event has reached capacity and sold out registration in the past nine years, with the 2013 event selling out in 24 days!

FEES:

Early Registration: January 1 - 10, 2014 - $95 Individual, $150 Relay Team

Regular Registration: January 11 - 20, 2014 - $105 Individual, $160 Relay Team

Late Registration: January 21, 2014 until filled - $115 Individual, $170 Relay Team

Refund Policy
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until February 28, 2014, No refunds will be issued for any reason after February 28, 2014*. Event entries are not tranferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. Refunds will not include USAT membership or 1 day fee, or Active.com processing fee. Refunds can take up to 3 weeks for processing.

* In some cases, such as military deployment, pregnancy or death of an immediate family member, we may honor requests for full refunds.

Divisions

Age Group
This is the division where most participants compete. Age groups are typically broken down into five year increments (ex. 20-24, 25-29, etc.). Participants in the Age Group division will start in waves with participants in their age group and will be eligible for Age Group awards. Categories will also be broken down into male and female.

Clydesdale
Men weighing 220 pounds and over have the option to compete in this category, instead of in their age group.

Athena
Women weighing 165 pounds and over have the option to compete in this category, instead of in their age group.

Elite
Designed for the faster triathletes.

Relay
Relays consist of two or three members. For two-person teams, one person must do two legs. For three-person teams, each person does one leg. All relay team members must register and sign both waivers.

Awards
Awards are given in the following categories:

Elites - male and female (top three in each)
Overall top male and female finishers
Overall masters - male and female age 40 and up
Randolph Parnell Award
Dr. Phelan Courage Award
Top three male and female finishers in the following age categories:

14 years and younger
15-19 years
20-24 years
25-29 years
30-34 years
35-39 years
40-44 years

45-49 years
50-54 years
55-59 years
60-64 years
65-69 years
70 years and up

Clydesdale - in these age categories:
- 29 and under
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50 and up
Athena - in these age categories:
- 29 and under
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50 and up
Overall top relay team - male, female and coed
