Katy Christian Ministries and Katy Police Department will host their 4th Annual 5K/10K Chip Timed run and Non-chipped run on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 8 am. The purpose of the race is to raise awareness of domestic violence and its devastating effects on our community. The proceeds of the race will benefit the Katy Christian Ministries Crisis Center whose advocates assist survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault on a daily basis. In 2016, over 1,000 victims from Katy/West Houston received assistance through the KCM Crisis Center.
This is a USATF Certified Course for 5K and 10K.
The race will start at KCM Offices located at 5504 First Street in Katy.
Registration is as follows: 5K Chipped-$30.00; 10K Chipped-$40.00; 5K Non-Chipped and Family run/walk: $25.00. Children 6 and under will be free but must be registered with parent. Strollers, wagons and wheelchairs are allowed but no bicycles, skates, skateboards or motorized vehicles/toys are allowed. On-line registration ends October 19th. We will offer race registration at packet pickup and race day. We have a Sleep-In Race Day category as well as an opportunity to join a team as a donor only, with no race participation. You may organize a team for fundraising or to represent your church, business or organization.
Awards will be given to overall winners and top placers in each category by age group. Recognition will be given to Top Team in size of team and the highest donations raised for KCM Crisis Center.
There will be a Post-Race Party Zone with free food and entertainment.
We hope you will join our team for this important cause so that KCM can effectively make a difference in the lives of survivors of domestic violence. The KCM Crisis Center provides the following services free of charge to victims of Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault:
24/7 Crisis Hotline - Crisis Intervention - Safety Planning - Therapy sessions with a Licensed Therapist - Advocacy in English & Spanish - Support Groups - Emergency Shelter Placement - Information and Referral Services - Accompaniment to hospitals, court and law enforcement agencies - Assistance with Crime Victims Compensation, Protective Orders, and Texas Vine - Community Outreach (Training and Educational Services)

Online registration ends on 10/16/17 at 12pm. New Registrations will be available from 6:30-7:30am on Race Day. Performance T-Shirts are not guaranteed after October 1st registrations. We will have late registration at race day. Race Day Fees will be 5K Chipped - $40, 10K Chipped - $50, 5K Non-Chipped run/Family run/walk - $35.
