Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix 5k & 1 mile fun run & breakfast

Date:  Sunday, October 11, 2015  (register by Oct 5th to pre-order t-shirt)

Time:  Race will start at 9am.  There will be a pre-race Zumba warm up party starting at 8:30am  Pancake breakfast will start at 9:30am.

Course description:  The 5k course will be the same as used for the annual Cross-Country Invitational race the day before.  It routes all over the AOA campus. Terrain varies from asphalt road to sidewalks to grass to dirt wooded trails.  

Awards:  The 5k race will be electronically chip timed.  The 1-miler is a fun run/walk and will not be timed.  Award categories will include top 3 overall male & female (plaque or medal).  And top 3 male and female in age groups (award ribbons) including 8 yrs & under, 9-11 yrs, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.  For AOA students, there will also be some special contests or challenges issued by AOA faculty/staff. During the spring race, awards included homework passes and campus shop credit!

Price:  $25 with technical short-sleeve t-shirt OR $15 without t-shirt.  Pancake breakfast is included for all registered 5k and 1 mile participants.  Extra breakfasts can be purchased for $8 per person.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the AOA Athletics programs.
