We are so sorry to announce that the 7^th Annual Making a Difference 5k & 1 Mile has been CANCELED due to thunderstorms and weather alerts in the area. A tornado watch is in effect until 10 am this morning. We had hoped to continue the event; however, we feel it is too dangerous to our runners and volunteers at this time. The 7th Annual Making a Difference 5K is hosted by Sugar Grove Christian School. The accredited preschool and elementary school is located off Hwy 59 just south of Houston city limits. The Making a Difference 5K course is USATF Certified (TX1212ETM) and will be chip timed by Run Houston Timing. The run will begin and end at the Mark McGrath Municipal Park in Meadows Place.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female winners. Age division medals will be awarded. The family friendly 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Run/Walk benefit the children of Sugar Grove Christian School. A family friendly Costume contest will be held for adults and children.
