Welcome to the 29th Annual Communities Against Crime 5k & Fun Run/Walk!
The CAC 5k is located at the beautiful River Legacy Park in North Arlington. The course is relatively flat and mostly shaded with trees- the 5k is USATF Certified. There are visible and legible distant markers @ miles 1, 2, and 3.
Local Tarrant County Law Enforcement Agencies have joined together to help support the needs of children whom have recently suffered from abuse and/or neglect. Participation in the CAC Fundraiser will help make a difference in the lives of these children and teens.
The following Police Departments are hosting the 29th Annual Communities Against Crime (CAC) 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk Fundraiser:

These Police Departments have joined with Community Partners of Tarrant County 501(c)(3) (CPTC)*to meet additional needs that children within Child Protective Services may benefit from. This may include:
- Special needs of children placed in Foster Care
- Providing emergency basic needs to children and their families
- Educational programs for parents and families
- Educational programs for community members and staff regarding child abuse & neglect
- …and SO much more!

Are there REFUNDS?
Unfortunately, we do not issue refunds or transfers under any circumstances.
Race will continue rain or shine, there are no refunds for inclement weather.
Weather Policies
Our participants’ safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed.
Threatening Weather Conditions
The CAC 5K run will be delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm, “Heavy” Rain, other major weather condition.
Start of the Race
The start of the event will be delayed if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. If the weather conditions persist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm.
