VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

FREE 1 mile race for those ready to run in their blue jeans! This crazy race will be held at the Satellite High Track and is open to everyone. It's part of Space Coast Runners' Hot & Humid Summer Run Schedule.

The only requirement is that you must wear denim blue jeans. No jean shorts, no jeggings...In case you're feeling fast, the world record is 4:06.25 set by Johnny Gregorek in May 2020.

We'll have different runner heats based on paces with Kaitlin Donner and Brittany Streufert giving live race commentary. It's going to be hot, humid and lots of fun!

Volunteer Waiver

Please read any waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and waiver of legal rights and deprives you of the ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree to this document unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing electronically, you acknowledge that you have both read and understood the text presented to you as part of the registration process. You also understand and agree that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks which may or may not be readily foreseeable, including without limitation personal injury, property damage or death. Your ability to participate in the event(s) is/are subject to your agreement to the waiver and by agreeing herein, you accept and agree to the terms of the and release agreement. You must be over 18 years of age OR the parent/legal guardian of a minor under 18 years of age OR the legal guardian of an incapacitated and/or mentally challenged person in order to agree to the text below.

WAIVER CONTRACT

Waiver: I know that running and volunteering to work in club races are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in SCR events including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, such as risks being known and appreciated by me. I further agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and other communicable diseases, and I attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html. I assume all such risks being known, appreciated, and accepted by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, Space Coast Runners, Inc., and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in club activities even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
