The third installment of the East End 1k is back in 2022!!  After a very wet 2021 1K we are ready to get back out there, but remember we are here to Not Overdo It! This time around, we are partnering with BakerRipley to raise money and awareness for their cause.  BakerRipley has been working since 1907 to provide low-income families and individuals the resources and opportunities to succeed within the Greater Houston area.  These resources include, but are not limited to, education, job and career development, wellness centers, financial services, disaster recovery, etc.

The race will begin and end at Equal Parts Brewing, with prizes and raffles post race. Registration is limited and will close at 5 P.M. on September 30th or once we hit capacity.  Extending to October 28, 2022; however, any registration made beginning October 8, 2022 will not include the event t-shirt.

To raise additional funds, we will be holding a raffle after the race with a chance to win various prizes. Please check out the raffle table and purchase tickets! Cash and Venmo will be accepted.

FAQs:

What is included with my registration?

Each registration includes a technical shirt, two free drink tickets, and a small bag with additional goodies.

Is there a packet pick-up or do I just show up on race day?

Just show up to Equal Parts Brewing by 11 A.M!

Where do we start? Where do we finish? Where do we park?

The Start and Finish line is just across the street from the brewery. There is parking at the brewery!

Are dogs welcome?

Of course!  Dogs will need to be kept on a leash in at all times in accordance with local laws.  Please be sure to keep an eye on the weather as it could still be warm out, so be sure to bring some extra water for your pup.

Are kids welcome?

Kids are also great and can certainly tag along, but race participants need to be 21 and up given the nature of the event.

Is this going to be a timed race?

The race will not be timed. Remember the motto of the race is: Let's Not Overdo It!

Is there going to be a hard start time, or can I show up late and still join the fun?

We will be starting at 11:30am but the course will be marked.  If you are late, you can still run the route and meet us back at the brewery for beers, prizes. and raffles.

Will there be water stations?

There will not be water stations along the route, but water will be available at the brewery. Help cut down on waste and bring your own water bottle!

Is the path/route going to be marked so that I don't get lost?

Absolutely!

Are there any road hazards I should concern myself with?

The Start/Finish line is across the street from the brewery, so you will have to cross two lanes and the light rail.  PLEASE BE CAREFUL crossing the street!

Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend?

Sorry, but we will not able to offer refunds or deferred registrations.
