2022 USAFIT Austin (Austin FIT) Summer Training

Running, Walking, Bariatric & Jump Start (10K) Programs

Meeting Location is Central:

  • 150 E. Riverside Drive, Austin, Texas 78704
    • (parking lot behind the Taco Joint)

Date:

  • June 11, 2022 to November 26, 2022
    • Running program - full and half marathon training;
    • Walking program - up to 6-miles and half marathon training;
    • Bariatric walk program - up to 6-miles;
    • Jump Start (10K) - up to 6-miles

Start Times:

  • 6:30 AM for the running & jump start programs
  • 6:10 AM for the walking and bariatric program

Austin Fit SUMMER Training Program is back with FULL and HALF Marathon, and 10K Training led by USAFIT Certified Coaches. Austin Fit is all about helping others make positive and life altering changes. So, get ready for an uplifting, motivational, and TOTAL fitness experience. We truly cater to both newbies and experienced runners and walkers in our training program.

Runners, we have coaches who train from 8:00 pace to a 13 pace.

Walk Fit. We have coaches who train from a 14 pace to a 20 plus pace.

Bariatric Walk Group. Your bariatric coach/coordinator will help meet the needs of the bariatric community by transitioning from your previous lifestyle into a new lifestyle that ensures activity is a normal part of your everyday life routine.

Jump Start (10K). This program is perfect for new runners, runners who have stopped training due to injury or for runners who want to train for a 10K. The "Summer" Jump Start - 10K program is a slow paced, low interval (run/walk) training that helps with that "jumpstart" you may need to get back into running.

Advanced Training Program (ATP). ATP members will receive one weekday training geared to improve speed and endurance. ATP also includes strength and core exercises geared to strengthen weak muscles, improve balance and stability, and decrease injury prevention. The ATP trainings will be central, with both a morning training and an evening training that you may choose from. The ATP program will be lead by a USA FIT Certifed Coach also a certified Road Runners Club of America coach (RRCA Level 1). Specific ATP details will be communicated immediately upon registration of ATP.
