16th Annual Chelsey's 5K Run For Kids

With profound sadness and disappointment, we regret to inform you that the 16th Annual Chelsey’s 5K Walk/Run is cancelled.

Snowdrop Foundation has long believed in full transparency. Our organization is your organization as well as everyone who supports us. You deserve to know the reason we are forced to cancel the event.

Participation has been dwindling ever since Covid hit and we always agreed that when any event of ours costs more money to hold than the amount it generates, then we would not have that event.

We have hit that unfortunate mark this year.

The past 15 years have been a wonderful celebration of Chelsey Campbell’s life, a life cut way too short from childhood cancer.

Thanks to you and the many volunteers we’ve had over the years, we’ve raised a significant amount of funds, funds that have made continued pediatric cancer research possible and also provided college scholarships for childhood cancer warriors.

Chelsey’s 5K was a labor of love put on by a dedicated staff of volunteers and family members. It pains us to have to bear this news.

To any and all of you whom have supported Chelsey’s 5K through the years, including this year, please know the depth of our gratitude. You made Chelsey’s dream, the one she had while in her hospital bed fighting cancer and defying death, to have a run solely for the benefit of kids with cancer, not only a reality, but a rousing success for 15 years.

While the cancellation of the 16th certainly isn’t sweet, the memories made, friendships forged and awareness caused by our race will always bring smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts.
