Bike the Gem

Flossmoor’s Future is hosting a community bike ride on August 7th, 2021 to highlight the 13.1-mile course of the Hidden Gem Half Marathon.  Flossmoor residents, registered half marathon runners, and the just plain curious are invited to “Bike the Gem” and then “Drink the Gem.”

As part of the celebration of the upcoming second Hidden Gem Half Marathon, to be run through the streets and neighborhoods of Flossmoor on Saturday September 11, 2021, interested parties are encouraged to Bike the Gem for a chance to get a sneak peek of the course. After the ride enjoy a taste of Flossmoor Station's Hidden Gem beer developed especially for the Half Marathon. Beer and food will be available for purchase after the ride.

THIS IS NOT A RACE BUT RATHER A COMMUNITY GROUP BIKE RIDE.

The leisurely-paced bike ride welcomes bikers of all skill levels. Flossmoor Police will provide an escort and traffic control. Check-in for the ride starts at 9:00 am in front of Infant Jesus of Prague School, Douglas Avenue and Flossmoor Road, in Flossmoor.  Ride starts at 10:00am.

There is no cost to ride the course with us; however, all riders must register in advance, wear a helmet, and sign a waiver. No unaccompanied minors will be allowed to ride without a guardian.
