EVENT INFORMATION

 

Ready2Roll Cycling is pleased to present the 2017 Pedal Away Alzheimer's ride benefitting the Alzheimer's Association.  This event will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and will start and end at the Austin County Fair and Convention grounds located in beautiful Bellville, TX.  The ride will start at 8:00 a.m. and will include scenic routes of 22, 39, 48 or 65 miles.  The routes will include law enforcement at key intersections, SAG support, fully-stocked rest stops, porta-lets at the start/finish and at rest stops, commemorative shirts to the first 500 registered, a fun post-ride party, and more.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. 

Who is Ready2Roll Cycling?

Ready2Roll Cycling (R2RC) has a longstanding, well-established reputation in the greater Houston cycling community for the development and implementation of a fully supported, comprehensive training program to help riders prepare for the annual BP MS 150.  With in excess of 1,800 riders enrolled each year, riders learn to ride safely and courteously, improve their fitness level and become great ambassadors in the community for cycling.

Alzheimer’s Association

Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association advances research to end Alzheimer's and dementia while enhancing care for those living with the disease.  For more information, go to www.Alz.org

Cost to Register

  • Registration cost per person is $35.00 
  • Cost from September 2 – September 15 is $45.00
  • Ride Day registration is $55.00

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be hosted at Sun & Ski Sports, 6100 Westheimer, from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, Sept 9 and at Bike Barn, 5339 Weslayan, from 10 am to 6 pm on Wednesday, Sept 13. Packets can also be picked up from 6:30-7:30 am on the day of the ride.
