USA FIT Champions Marathon and Half Marathon Training Program

USA FIT Champions is a training program for walkers and runners designed with the goal in mind of completing a marathon or half marathon in January. This year we will be training for the Cypress Half Marathon in November, the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon in January, and/or the Memorial Hermann USA FIT Marathon/Ft. Bend Kia Half Marathon in February. If you are training for a different race (BCS, San Antonio, Woodlands, etc.), we would love to have you join us as well.  We can accommodate runners and walkers whatever their goals. Ask anyone who has done it; there is nothing like finishing a marathon or half marathon, even if you have never run a step. You\'ll be fit, happy, and mentally strong. 

We offer our members:
 
•  ability-based Saturday morning group runs;
•  daily training schedules to keep you progressing during the week;
•  encouragement and expertise from trained coaches;
•  frequent informational seminars on running-related topics;
•  camaraderie and social events;
•  USA FIT technical T-shirt
 
Our training season will start on July 11 at 7:00 am. We\'ll meet in front of Ground Up Athletics in Vintage Park for orientation and then go for a short run. Don\'t forget to bring a water bottle! We are looking forward to running/walking with you this season!

 We're currently meeting on Saturday mornings at the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA, 19915 TX-249, Houston, TX 77070 . Watch your email for newsletters with start times and additional meetings times and places. Don\'t forget to bring a water bottle! We are looking forward to running/walking with you this season!
