Ice Fest 5k
In partnership with St. Joseph Today and the 17th Annual Magical Ice Fest in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan, Sunset Coast Striders is proud to bring to you the 8th annual Ice Fest 5k Chocolate Walk/Run!

Due to Covid-19 and our desire to host a safe & healthy event, bib pick up, same day registration, race start and the post race party will look a little different than in past years. Please refer to each respective area for changes.
BIB PICK-UP & SAME DAY REGISTRATION: Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 7:30am - 8:45am. Same day registration is $35.00. $30.00 for 14 & under or 65 & older. Cash or Check only please. LOCATION: 301 State St. St Joseph, MI 49085. The St Joseph Today building. Masks will be mandatory when picking up your packet. Thank you. Bib pick up will be on the south side of the St Joseph Today building. Same day registration will take place inside the building.
RACE START: 9am. The race start will be a rolling start with pre-assigned starting time windows. Masks will be required at the start. The course will be well marked and we will provide plenty of course marshals (& expect an Oompa Loompa or two) to guide you right along. This is a winter run...Remember winter/road safety! It may be slippery and you might want to bring YakTrax or StabilIcers if you have them. Please be careful out there!
POST RACE PARTY: 9:20 - 11:00am Most of the changes occur here, sadly. In order to ensure the safest of conditions for all competitors, spectators, and volunteers there will be no big tent this year. New this year, instead of tables full of chocolaty yumminess. placing everyone at risk, each competitor will receive a $10 St Joe Today Gift Certificate good at participating venues in St Joseph, MI.
RACE RESULTS & AWARDS: This is a chip timed event. Race results will be posted on race day. Spectacular trophies go to the overall male and female finishers. However, no award ceremony will be scheduled. Winning of age group will be strictly for bragging righs this year. Age groups follow the USATF standard of 5 year intervals. except for walkers which are 10 year intervals.
*** BACK for 2021!!*** You are amazing (or maybe a little crazy) for registering for a winter race. You deserve a medal!! Yes, you read that right!! Anyone who registers, runs (or walks) & crosses that coveted finish line will receive a finishers medal!!
Price increase on 1/01/2021. Late registration price increase will occur on 1/23/2021. Online Registration ends at midnight on 2/05/2021 at 5pm.
