Volunteers are the heart and sole of Space Coast Runners. Every year SCR relies on hundreds of volunteers to put on our race events, fun runs and socials. We also rely on our volunteers for numerous projects like the award-winning newsletter, community events and cleanups. Without the support of the many Space Coast Runners volunteers, our organization would not be able to put on some of the most successful running events in Florida.
If you've ever considered volunteering, please don't hesitate another day. We want and need your assistance. You could become our next "Volunteer of the Year"!
Year Round Volunteer Club Needs
Sunday Morning Hydration Crew: Looking for individuals who would put water/Gatorade out for the Sunday Morning long run. SCR provides the coolers, cups and Gatorade. Volunteer would put out the hydration station by 6:30AM on scheduled Sunday mornings - either South or North River Road in Cocoa. Email Hydration Crew lead, Cyndi Bergs by clicking here for more info or if you're able to volunteer.
Run Hosts: Looking for individuals who would be able to host either an AM or PM run in your local area/neighborhood once a week on a regular basis. Host would be on hand each week to greet and instruct runners as well as make sure every participant returns from the run. Particular needs are the West Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville, Melbourne Beach and Cape Canaveral areas. Interested? Email info@spacecoastrunners.org.

Volunteer Age Requirements
For the safety of our volunteers and our participants, we do have some age guidelines in place. Volunteers that are 16 years old and up are free to volunteer on their own. Volunteers that are between the ages of 12-15 are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. If you have a child in the 12-15 year age group, please be sure to indicate that in your communication so that we can place you and your child in an appropriate and safe volunteer assignment at our events.
