SCR Christian Lake Memorial Student Scholarship Fund

AWARDED ANNUALLY TO LOCAL BREVARD SENIORS 

Even though he was young in years, Christian Lake made a lasting impression on those who knew him, not only as a talented runner but as a guy with a very giving heart, a caring will to help others and a big, bright smile.

Much like Christian did in his life, the scholarship is making a difference. Designed to assist local Brevard high school seniors, the annual $2,000 awards recognizes those lives that have benefited in some way from running for their school's cross country or track program or have family members that run, which in turn has impacted their lives.

The Christian Lake Memorial Student Scholarship Fund board of directors meet quarterly to discuss current and new initiatives for the scholarship fund. Eye of the Dragon 10K & Tail of the Lizard 2 Mile continues to be one of the fund's largest contributor with its race beneficiary donation. The scholarship application period is February of each year with winners being notified in March.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE & MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Please consider making a gift to the scholarship fund in your last will & testament.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFO

  • 2025 Scholarship Application: Information, scholarship amounts and required essay for the 2025 scholarships will be released in January 2025 (date to be announced). The application process will run from the January date and will be due no later than Friday, Feb. 28, 2025.
