Introduction
Happy New Year and thank you to everyone who came along to our first club meeting of the year! It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and to kick off the season together with so much energy and enthusiasm.
A special welcome to all of our new members - we're glad to have you in the club. Whether you're new to triathlon or a seasoned racer, we hope you already felt the friendly, supportive spirit that makes our club such a great place. Don't be shy about introducing yourself at events or asking questions - we've all been there and always happy to help.
To our returning members, thank you for continuing to show up, support one another, and help make the club what it is. We're looking forward to an exciting season of training, events, and shared goals.
We are still in the process of updating everything for the year. New shirts have been ordered and we will make sure you all get one. Please email membership@houstonracing.com, let them know what gender style and size you need and which event you will attend next.
The race calendar and discounts are being updated. There are quite a few discounts available now, you can find those here after you log in. Twin lakes vouchers are still in the works.
Don't forget to race Ironman under HRTC! Be sure to add the club affiliation to your Ironman profile. If there are 20 HRTC members who race the same IM 70.3 or 10 members that race the same IM 140.6, the club receives one free Ironman entry to give away!
The Annual Race Directors Meeting will take place, Monday February 16, starting at 630 PM at Social Beer Garden. Details on the event, race entries, and more are below.

Annual Race Directors Meeting
The Race Directors Meeting will take place back at Social Beer Garden. This meeting includes information on local races from race directors and the raffle of race entries. At the moment we are just shy of 50 races and anticipate exceeding that amount by the meeting.
Races entries so far include:
tris and dus, such as iTri Events, Oilman, Tri-Now, Katy Triathlon, PlayTri, Clash
run events, like Tejas Trails, Run Wild 5k, Lucky Trails Races, Texas Bridge Series
bike events, including mesquite rodeo rally, blazin sadle rally, easter bike tour, waco wild west
We even have some spartan/tough mudder entries, open water swims, and kids triathlons.
Active Members will receive 1 free raffle entry and can buy additional tickets at 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Only active members may participate.
Raffle ticket sales will end at 745 PM sharp.
Winners must be present to collect race entry. The board will be enforcing this. If your name is on the ticket, you must be the one to receive the certificate.
