Thank you Coach Deuterio, Coach Karen and Coach Jeff for some great advice last month.  Now it's time to get some gear for training.  April's Social is at the Fleet Fleet Store on Greenbriar.  We'll meet at 6 pm on April 15th for a 3 mile run.  Then back to the store for some food and shopping.  Fleet Feet will be offering members a 20% discount on their purchases that night excluding Lululemon and electronics.  

Good luck to everyone who is racing this month.  Keep reading to the bottom of the newsletter for a list of some fun races coming up.  HRTC is hosting aid stations at Ironman Galveston 70.3 and Ironman TX.  If you are available those days, please consider coming out for a few hours and volunteer with us. Christopher Gloyna, Dee Dee Lincoln, Grant Keener, Roland Panjaitan, Greg Malmgren and Gina Sessums are racing IMTX. Who else is racing?  Let us know so we'll be sure to look for you.  If you did not sign up with a team, pick the Houston Racing Triathlon Club team.  If enough people race with our team, Ironman will donate a free race to our club.

On May 5th, come join us for a rolling hills bike ride.  We will meet in Brenham for a 25 mile loop.  Some of us will be doing 2 loops with a short run afterwards.

Ironman Texas 70.3 - Galveston

If your not racing, please join us at "Aid Station Run #4" and cheer on all the triathletes on Sunday April 7th.  It is in the traffic circle by the paddlewheel and brown pyramid across the drainage ditch from transition.   This is a great way to be involved up close and personal.  You’ll be able to see the runners 3 times as they run by the station.  The Station will be opened from 8:30 - 4:00ish.  But you can pick which hour or hours that you are available to volunteer.  Click on the above link to sign up.
