Introduction
April was the start to the Spring Triathlon Season and HRTC represented well at both IMTX 70.3 and IMTX! The local races get started this weekend! Make sure you check out your club discounts as you sign-up!
Thank you to all the volunteers at IMTX! The HRTC volunteers were fantastic again this year and really make for a smooth transition for the athletes.
Congratulations to our team athletes on their IM finish! Stuart Muirhead, Carol Wooldridge and Amy Wang! Congratulations to all our other members that were racing too!
I want to also give a shout out to a few other HRTC racers this year! Congrats to Charles Coffman (IM 70.3 Panama), Claudio Bravo (IM 70.3 Pucon), and Ivan Ramirez (IM 70.3 Puerto Rico).
This month we will have a run and social at Fleet Feet on the 15th of May. We will have a drawing for the Kerrville Triathlon Festival. Don't forget, if you volunteered or raced for HRTC you must email president@houstonracing.com to let me know you are interested in the extra raffle tickets! See details below.

The Kerrville Triathlon offers something for all our members, from a Rookie and Sprint, to Olympic and Half Distance Triathlons and Aquabikes all over one weekend.
We are raffling off an entry to the Kerrville Triathlon Festival at the May Social on May 15th.
How to get raffle tickets!
1 ticket for HRTC members who attend the May social (Tentatively 5/4 at Fleet Feet)
1 ticket for HRTC members who race as HRTC or volunteer with HRTC at Galveston (4/2)
1 ticket for HRTC members who race as HRTC or volunteer with HRTC at IMTX (4/22)
1 bonus ticket if you participate in both Galveston and TX.
**possibility of earning 4 entries in the drawing
**Volunteers and Racers do not need to be present at May Social to win
**Racers and Volunteers need to email president@houstonracing.com to enter
HRTC Club Store opening back up! Get your gear for your late summer and fall races!
We will be opening up the gear store May 15th through May 31st.
We will have some samples to check out at the May social.
