Spring Half Marathon Training

Join us this spring as we prepare for late April and early-mid/May half marathons with this 12-week program.


Program Dates:

February 12 to May 6, 2018 (12 Weeks)

*Note: No training on April 21 (CARA's Wintrust Lakefront 10 Miler & 5K)

    • Wednesday's Speed Training @ 6:30pm at Wilson Track (Chicago)

    • Wednesday's Speed Training @ 6:30pm at Novacare (Naperville)

  • 12-Week Training Plan: CARA Director of Training Leah Bohr provides a 12-week training plan customized for those prepping for a Half Marathon.

  • Group Training: Group long runs and speed training. Gain support, security, and camaraderie with the support of a group!

  • Pacer Led Runs: CARA member pace group leaders who are experienced runners committed to guiding you every step of the way. Weekend long runs will be led by friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced CARA group leaders - we offer pacers at each 30-second pace interval, from 7:30 to 12:00 min/mile, plus run/walk paces.

  • Program registration does not include entry or registration fees for half marathon race.
