Health guidelines:  

In accordance with the latest COVID public health order by the State of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) that went into effect on June 15, 2021 (here) and at the direction of  USA FIT, we are now following county guidelines as we meet together during 2021 season.  

-There are no longer distancing or capacity limits

-Face masks are not required to be worn by vaccinated individuals but vaccination status will not be verified or enforced

-Participants will be made to feel comfortable if they choose to wear face masks for any reason, regardless of vaccination status

-non-vaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to wear a mask

The CDPH will continue to monitor scientific evidence and will amend their guidance as needed, so our plans will be fluid as public policy changes.

Should I attend the San Jose Fit activities without wearing a mask?

Circumstances may vary and individuals should consider their needs, situation, and health concerns first. Those who are feeling sick, have experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days should continue to stay home to protect the health of others.

TRAIL ETIQUETTE

Trail Etiquette:
Safety is the number one priority for USA FIT and San Jose FIT.  The most critical aspect of safety on our beautiful Los Gatos Creek trail is great communication and awareness.  It is the responsibility of all of us to communicate clearly when we are on the trail.  This is especially true for a large group like San Jose FIT.  Take it upon yourself to communicate, be aware of the surroundings and share the trail with all runners, walkers, and bikes..

Please be as quiet as possible when passing homes along the trail - especially in the early mornings.

Rancho Hill Runs/Hikes: 
(open to all 2021 Fitters, lead by Coach Georgiana and Coach Eric)
The SJFit Hill Run/Walk is included in the SJFit training program (no additional charge), but it is completely optional to participate.

Volunteering Opportunities - We need you!

San Jose Fit sets up GREAT aid stations to support athletes during our long training runs/walks. 
We will also be sponsoring an aid station at the Zombie Runner Quarry Lake Run.  We need volunteers to help set up and run these aid stations.  If you know you'll be available OR have friends/family members that are willing to help out, please let us know!   Email: info@usafitsanjose.com
