Attention: The 2020 South Shore Half Marathon has been cancelled.
Given the current state of affairs with the threat and risk of COVID-19, as of this morning, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 South Shore Half Marathon.
It has became clear that canceling was the only responsible thing to do as the health and safety of the runners, volunteers and everyone associated is our priority.
Q - So now what?? What about my registration $$?
A - An email will be sent to all registered runners explaining this. Bottom line is that even though this race like many others has a no refund policy - we'll be giving some back - because this is a pretty extreme situation and also this race is kind of cool like that.
Q - Will there be a virtual race?
A - Nope. I'm not that smart. I only know how to organize an actual race. 
Q - Will this race be rescheduled?
A - No, but we will let you know when the 2021 date is confirmed as soon as possible.
Q - Will any shirts, gloves, buffs or bibs be mailed out?
A - Dude - you're getting money refunded! The answer is no, but you likely will see the gloves and buffs offered for sale in the fall at the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon expo.
Q - What other races can I run?
A - Lots hopefully after this virus finally runs ITS course. Let's just hope its course is more like a beer mile or 5k and not an ultra.

Q - What can I do in the meantime?
A - Follow all the safety guidelines set (you've seen them posted everywhere) so we can get back to business as usual. We don't know what we don't know and this is all uncharted ground so please be safe. You're training isn't wasted - that's not a thing. Use this time to enhance it and get ready for that next race.
