**The Slay the Beast Challenge is FULL**

**NEW THIS YEAR**!!!  SLAY THE BEAST CHALLENGE!!!!  Your chance to participate in the first ever double race challenge...run the Eye of the Dragon 10K and THEN run the Tail of the Lizard 2 mile to defeat BOTH of the beasts!  Special finisher medals for everyone who takes the 2016 Challenge.  Limited to the first 100 registrants.

The 28th running of the Eye of the Dragon 10K Run and 10K Walk and the Tail of the Lizard 2 mile run/walk, sponsored by Space Coast Runners, is on February 27th, 2016.  The race begins at the Eau Gallie Civic Center on Pineapple Avenue, across from Pineapple Park.   The 10K course is a 5K out and back along scenic, tree lined Pineapple Avenue and then another out and back 5K across the beautiful, breezy Eau Gallie Causeway.   Prizes will be awarded for both the 10K run and the 10K competitive walk.  The 2 mile fun run/walk is also an out and back, over the Causeway and awards will be given for the fastest competitors in this event, too.   

NOTE:  Online registration is the SAME price as mail in, so please save a stamp, save paper and register online!!!!  There are no additional fees for registering online!!!!

We will have packet pickup on the day of race if you cannot pickup from the Running Zone!  Day of Registration and packet pickup  will be in the Eau Gallie Civic Center.  6:15 am - 6:55 am for 10K, 7:00 am - 8:00 am for 2 mile. 

This fabulous, fun race features finisher medals for ALL participants, stunning race shirts, great food and the most beautiful course in Brevard County!  This year, weather permitting, the awards ceremony and food tables will be in the beautiful park area so you can enjoy the cool breezes off the river after your run.  It just doesn't get better than this...come out and see!
