Event Information

The Missouri City Police Officers Association cordially invites you to be a sponsor, donator or participant for the Missouri City Police Officers Association 1st Annual Zombie Dash 5K / 1 Mile Kids Run (Halloween Themed), Saturday, October 27, 2012.  The run will start at the Missouri City Police Department, thru the Lakes of Brightwater subdivision on a certified USATF Course #TX12149ETM.


Your generous donations and/or sponsorship will enable us to continue to help feed hungry families, bring toys to area underprivileged children at Christmas, give to local charities, assist officers in emergencies and continue to support the community-oriented projects we do throughout the year. Last year we gave out two $1500 college scholarships in memory and honor of former officers Damian Buckner and Andrew Svoboda and over $10,000 to local charities and organizations.

Online Registration Closing Date
Thursday, October 25 2012 @ midnight
After online registration closes you may register at packet pickups or on race morning until 7:15 a.m.

Registration
5K – Early registration – $25 until October 6th / after $30 at registration or race day. Kids Fun Run $20 Early registrants (before October 6th) are guaranteed a t-shirt.

Awards
Overall Male and Female will receive awards. Top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. We will also award prizes for the best costumes (adult and child).

Packet Pickup

Please try to pick up your packet in advance to make race morning go more smoothly. There will be a packet pickup on Thursday, October 25th from 4pm-8pm at the Missouri City Police Mini Station, located at 1703-A, Texas Parkway, Missouri City, Texas 77489.

Race Day Schedule
Race Day Registration - 6:45a.m. - 7:45 a.m. 
5K Race - 8:00 a.m.
1 Mile Kids’ Fun Run - 9:00 a.m.
Costume Contest 9:30 a.m. 
Awards Ceremony 9:45 a.m.

Refund and Transfer Policy
There are no refunds or transfers.

Bikes, scooters, etc.
No bikes, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards permitted in either event. Strollers are permitted in the 1 mile fun run.

Parking
Parking is limited.  Parking will be at the Missouri City Police Department and Brightwater Clubhouse.  If you can, please plan to walk or ride your bike to the race. If you do drive, please follow volunteer instructions as to where to park

Costume Contest
There will be a costume contest at 9:30. Awards will be given for costumes in the following categories: Best Female, Best Male, Best Couple and Best Child.
