2024 MUDWATER TRIATHLON, DUATHLON & AQUABIKE

LOCATION – Lake Afton Park, Goddard, KS
In full disclosure, the Kansas Department of Health & Environment has already started their watch of Lake Afton for blue-green algae.  The race was moved three weeks earlier this year to avoid the algae, which resulted in the 2023 race swim's cancelation.  With the limited number of registrants as of 04/26/24, and if a blue-green algae warning is placed into effect, the 2024 race will likely be canceled in it's entirety.  If so, refunds will be provided. 

Lake Afton Park is located approximately 20 minutes southwest of Wichita. From Wichita, take US Highway 54/400 west to 215th Street West (west edge of Goddard). Go south on 215th Street for three miles to MacArthur Road. Go west on MacArthur for two and a half miles to the west entrance of the park.

The 18th Annual 2024 Mudwater Triathlon & Duathlon will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

THE RACES AT MUDWATER are USAT Sanctioned.

DUATHLON: 5K run, 25K bike, 5K run

TRIATHLON: “Sprint” Distance – 750m swim, 25K bike, 5K run / “Olympic” Distance – 1500 m swim, 24 mile (39K) bike, 10K run

Races will start at 7:00 am

AQUABIKE: “Olympic” Distance – 1500m swim, 24 mile (39K) bike

Due to unrecoverable expenses associated with producing a race, we cannot offer refunds. If you cannot race for some reason, please email mudwater@ksrvtc.com for deferral or substitution.
