Survive The Night Ultra Marathon

Can you survive the night? Will you be the last runner alive?

This ultra marathon is a loop course which runners will complete throughout the night. Runners who make it to sunrise will survive. All others will meet their doom! When the sun rises things will start to heat up as we ratchet down the loop times to determine who will be the last runner alive! 

This trail race will be throughout one of the most unique trails you have ever run! You will run through a ghost town, run around a downed airplane, castle, tree house, and much more.

Registration is 25 dollars for individual and each member of a relay team.

The event will be hosted a Wildcat Paintball park in Stauton, IL (just 45 minutes from St. Louis)

Format

The Survive the Night Ultramarathon consists of three races:

1. Ultimate Survivor, the last runner alive (for solo runners only) beginning at 9 pm and lasting until there is only one Survivor
2.  The race to Survive the Night run from 9 pm to 6 am – approximately 36 miles (for solo runners or teams)
3.  8 Mile Fun Run starting at 7 am – 8 mile runners will run 8 consecutive miles without the timed loop format

The course is approximately 4 miles long and must be completed within an hour in order to
continue. Any runners failing to finish the distance in the time allotted with be deemed not to
have survived. Runners will begin each new 4 mile loop at the top of each consecutive hour
until 6 am. At 6 am those who have Survived the Night can tap out and collect their award, or
can choose to continue in a quest to become the Ultimate Survivor. At 6 am, the Ultimate
Survivor race really gets going as contenders continue the 4 mile format, however, the race
directors will crank down the times allotted to complete the distance. The reduction of time
allotted will be at the race directors’ discretion. The Ultimate Survivor race will continue until
there is only one runner left alive.

At 7am, 8 mile fun runners will join the survivors on their trek through the park. 8 mile fun
runners will run 8 consecutive miles or two circuits of loops in the park
Runners and teams who Survive the Night will receive an award to commemorate their
accomplishment

The ultimate survivor will receive: $200
Survive the Night Finishers will receive an award.
